Preeti D. (aka Dutt Preety) here. Hope you are having a pleasant week so far. I’d like to thank Manisha, the wonderful owner of Madras Bazaar for inviting me to be a Guest Designer. A little about myself, I’ve studied Clinical Psychology and work as a Psychologist and Talent Acquisition Specialist. I love paper crafting and have an eclectic style. I mostly make Mixed Media and Clean and Simple Projects. Card making is my passion and I also like making layouts, tags, canvases and doing art journalling.

I have three Mixed Media projects to share with you today, so let’s get started.

3. Stamped the background with black archival ink
4. Applied white gesso on the elements and once it was dry, added color using the Pearl Ink Sprays- Charcoal Black & Shock Blue
5. Added flowers to the composition, dry brushed some white gesso on them and then for sparkle using soft gloss gel added some Madras Bazaar Fine Glitter- Diamond Crystal

Artist Trading Cards or ATCs

Artist Trading Cards or ATCs are miniature pieces of art. These are 2.5 by 3.5 inches in size and they are swapped between artists & crafters. These can be created in a set around a certain theme. For example, in the set of ATCs I have made, there are 3 in it and they are all made using the same colors and style. I wanted these to be simple, flat & easy to re-create.

Process:

  1. Cut thick white cardstock to the ATC size of 2.5 by 3.5 inches
  2. Spray on colors using three Madras Bazaar Pearl Ink Sprays
  3. Stamp on the ATCs using Archival Black Ink
  4. Add background stenciling by scribbling a black zig marker through the Tim Holtz dot fade stencil and then spray on water
  5. Darken the edges of the ATCs with Black archival ink and a blending tool & foam
  6. In the end, add a border and dots using white acrylic paint & titles using Tim Holtz stickers

That’s all for today. Hope you liked the projects and will give them a go 🙂

Thanks for your precious time 🙂

Stay Blessed.
